Dzmitry Kanavalau, the accused in the case of terrorist attack in Minsk metro has admitted guilt partially.

“I plead guilty in the Minsk metro blast on 11 April 2011 and the explosion on 4 July 2008”, he said. He also admitted illegal handling of explosives. He denied all the other charges.

Uladzislau Kavalyou admitted partial guilt. He admitted his involvement in the crimes committed earlier, including the explosions at the entrances of apartment buildings and a facade of a children’s library in Vitsebsk. However, he denied the charges under Article 218 of the Criminal Code. Besides, he denied that he knew about the 2005 explosion. “I do not confirm the previous testimony that I knew about the crime,” he said.

At the same time, he admitted that he knew about the 2008 explosion in Minsk. He also pleaded guilty in illegal handling of explosives. He has stated: “I admit that I bought TNT.”

After that judge announced a break in the trial till September 16.
