The administration of the Babruisk colony number 2 restricted the political prisoner, the head of the human rights center Viasna Ales Bialiatski in the possibility of receiving medical parcels.
According to his wife Natalia Pinchuk, her husband didn’t have such problems before, Radio Racyja reports.
“He is allowed to receive one medical parcel. According to the regulations, he had to write what was in a parcel, which medicines and I had to send it. This is how it was before. Now there are difficulties. First, the parcel has been limited in weight to one kilo. At it is not clear why”, - the political prisoner’s wife told.
According to Natalia Pinchuk, such measures are not in practice in other colonies and are not applied to other convicts.
But even the parcel weighting one kilo, which was sent to the colony for Bialiatski, soon returned. The refusal to accept the parcel was explained by alleged violation of the date of shipment. Although, according to Natalia Pinchuk, there were no violations or mistakes with the shipment of the parcel. “I have an impression that they intentionally and artificially imposing even more tough demands and restrictions on Ales Bialiatski”, - the wife of the political prisoner says. She repeatedly sent the medical parcel to the colony.
