Milk price rose by 4.7% during the weekend.
Euroradio bought a 250ml package of milk (3.2% fat). The same package cost 120 rubles more three days later. Both packages were released on the same day – October 4. However, the more expensive milk was produced two hours earlier.
Milk was bought on Friday and Monday, so the price growth in three days was 4.7%. But according to the data of the National Statistics Committee, the official inflation rate for nine months was only 16.1%.
Shop assistants confirmed to the journalist that milk prices went up on October 27, when an official statement about the increase in prices was made.
