Lidselmash workers protest against bad working conditions (Photo) 31

11:37, — society

The workers of the Lidselmash enterprise in Lida are not satisfied with the working conditions and are worried about their lives.

According to the workers, the equipment of the working places and the conditions they have to work in, are diverting from the requirements of the safety measures and sometimes threaten to their health and even life, Radio Racyja reports.

They point out that the majority of the workers are intimidated and do not dare to fight with the administration of the enterprise for their right for decent working conditions under the threat of being fired:

- There are no air vents, the lighting is bad, smoke brakes were cancelled. The conditions are bad as well: it is dirty and cold. But so far everyone is silent, they are being intimidated.

The enterprise’s administration in their turn denies the complaints of the workers and assures that the safety measures are not violated at the enterprise and workers’ complaints are their own inventions. In the meanwhile at the beginning of August this year at Lidselmash enterprise there was an accident eliciting the death of one of the workers.

The photos are made by the workers with a cell phone camera:
