EU-blacklisted oligarch Chycz to develop export

Prime Minister's advisory council for development of export and distribution network abroad.
The ruling of the government No. 983 on establishing the council was signed by PM Mikhail Myasnikovich on October 26, 2012 and published today, Business-News website reports.
The council members are the prime minister, first deputy prime ministers Uladzimir Syamashka, foreign minister Uladzimir Makei, head of the Minsk region executive committee Barys Batura, heads of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Construction and Architecture, Ministry of Transport, Military Industry State Committee, State Committee for Science and Technology and representatives of other state bodies.
Five persons in the council are business representatives. They are general director of Triple group of companies Yury Chyzh (Yuri Chizh), general director of Santa Impex Brest LLC Alyaksandr Mashenski, Atlant CJSC head Viktar Shumila, general director of Gorodeya Sugar Refinery Mikhail Kryshtapovich and deputy director of Bonetti foreign LLC Mikalai Havarko.
The EU put Yury Czyzh on the blacklist as a sponsor of the Belarusian dictator and banned the oligarch from entering the EU. Czyzh's 18 companies were also hit by sanctions. EUobserver called Alyaksandr Mashenski among possible targets of sanctions, because the Brest-based businessman was “instrumental in Lukashenka's 2010 presidential election campaign and is said to rank as the number three most influential tycoon behind Peftiev and Chizh”.
