Unidentified persons pour paint over a memorial sign at the entrance to a former Jewish ghetto.

A politician and journalist Mikola Markevich reported about that on his Facebook page on Sunday morning.

“Today in the morning I saw the memorial sign at the entrance to a former Jewish ghetto spilled on brown paint. Look what we have reached… Even when in Grodno (probably under the protection of some state agencies) the fascists from RNU were having fun, nothing like that happened. Speaking consciously, I cannot recollect such expressions of anti-Semitism even in far past. Grodna has always been tolerant. Now, when the field of civic activity has been burnt like with napalm, mutants and perverts come out of some unknown holes and corners. Like they say: a sacred place is never empty…”
