Teddy bear landing force came back to Belarus (Photo, video)

Activists of a Swedish human rights organization Östgruppen sent postcards with teddy bears to Belarusian officials.

The toys were collected in Stockholm and sent to Minsk by mail. In total the activists of Östgruppen sent 175 teddy bears to the officials for the black list. Also postcards with addresses to the officials were put in the parcels.

“As understand, you together with the authorities of your country violate human rights. I think that is very bad. It’s a pity that they did not teach you in school not to do that. It is very important to respect such rights as the right of assembly, association and freedom of speech. If you do not do that, you will never know what the people of your country think of you”, - a postcard on behalf of a teddy bear says.

In order to teach Belarusian officials to respect human rights, each postcard also has an excerpt from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
