Lukashenka's remarks about Putin's spine cut by censorship

The official version of dictator's interview with Reuters doesn't contain remarks about Putin's back injury.

For political or other reasons, the Belarusian agitprop cut Lukashenka's words about the injured spine of Russian president Vladimir Putin, the fact that the Kremlin has been hiding during the autumn, from the Belarusian official version of the interview with Reuters, AFN news agency reports.

The censored version was published on the official website of the Belarusian ruler.

It should be reminded that Alyaksandr Lukashenka told Reuters he couldn't play hockey with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin because the latter damaged his spine. Lukashenka said it to answer a question if he played hockey with Putin, who likes sports and cultivates a tough-guy image.

“He has damaged his spine somewhere. In a judo match. He was on the mat and hurt his spine. I know he has this problem. He loves judo. He lifted a guy, threw him, and twisted his spine,” Lukashenka said.

Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on Lukashenka's words.

Talks that Putin, 60, has health problems appeared in autumn: the president was seen walking with a limp during the APEC summit in Vladivostok. He was also seen in public leaning forward while sitting. In October, Putin cancelled his visit to Pakistan for a four-nation summit on Afghanistan and didn't visit Turkey. Three sources in the Russian government told Reuters Putin has a back problem, but the Kremlin refutes this information.
