Merchandise markets will be banned

Officials want to ban selling clothes at open air markets.

In Mogilev they may ban selling clothes and footwear at open air markets. If the decision is made, it is not ruled out that other cities of the country will tale the same measures, Narodnaya gazeta reports.

The department of trade and services of the Mogilev region’s executive committee put forward the initiative to reform the system of marketplaces. The main suggestion is to move the trade on clothing and footwear into covered markets. Only second hand clothes and craftsmen’s products will be sold at open air market places.

The regional executive committee is now collecting the opinions. All the people concerned are invited for a discussion. The final decision will be made no earlier than the second part of the next year.
