Alexander Lukashenko is not against entrepreneurs working at the Dynamo stadium after its reconstruction.
He demands to provide transparency of the financial flows gained from renting the lots. “We used to have there this huge market, which, according to my information, had gained certain (and not small) financial results. The question is typical: where is the money, how much is there and where did it go?” stated the head of the state during the session on Dynamo reconstruction held on November 5th.
At that, the Belarusian leader demanded to start reconstruction, which was scheduled on January, “tomorrow” and it is necessary, according to him, to finish it not in three years, as planned, but by the end of 2014, “or all the better by November 7th, as the tradition goes,” reports BelTA.
At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko stated that he does not need a “fancy” stadium as a super stadium in London or as the Bird's Nest in China. “We don’t need such a stadium. We need a compact stadium of the European level , for about 40-45 thousand people and there is no need to show off. We are not that rich to build anything that fancy. It should be functional and beautiful stadium with preserving that historic look, which we have agreed on,” said the President of Belarus.
