The fact that two bottles with incendiary mixture were thrown at the building of the Lithuanian embassy in Minsk should be treated as a terroristic attack on Lithuania.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audronius Ažubalis and the chairman of the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs Emanuelis Zingeris.
“It is a terroristic act against the territory of Lithuania”, - said Zingeris to journalists in the Parliament on 7 November, ru.delfi.lt reports.
“What does it look to you like, when in the evening two bottles of Molotoff cocktail are thrown to the territory of an embassy? What else is it if not a terroristic act?” - Ažubalis said.
According to him, this incident will be legally assessed by the Lithuanian police. Ažubalis claims that he gave his own assessment to the incident.
“I said what I thought as a Minister of Foreign Affairs, as when Molotoff cocktails are thrown it cannot be called differently. How else can it be called? Someone unintentionally confused the buildings? They knocked on a wrong door? No, it was a planned action. Those were not thrown somewhere in the middle of a street, on a highway, but at the territory of the Lithuanian embassy in Belarus, which is our territory according to the Vienna convention”, - the minister said.
He expressed his hope that the Belarusian police will carry out a quick and effective investigation, which was started based on the fact of hooliganism.
