The president of Lithuania commented on the incident with the Lithuanian embassy in Minsk.
Dalia Grybauskaitė says, that she does not speculate on the issue of who would benefit from the attack on the Lithuanian embassy in Minsk, when two bottles of incendiary mixture were thrown at the territory of the diplomatic mission, ru.DELFI.lt reports.
“You make the speculations yourself, it is your job, not mine”, - she said to journalists in Kaunas on Friday answering the question of who could benefit from the attack.
“The attack has already been assessed by Belarusians themselves, as well as by the Lithuanian party. We sent a note to that country. Whereas the preliminary investigation is carried out by Belarus itself”, - Dalia Grybauskaitė noted.
On Tuesday evening two so-called Molotoff cocktails were thrown at the territory of the Lithuanian embassy in Belarus. The Lithuanian policemen working at the mission’s building managed to put off the fire.
On Thursday the ambassador of Belarus to Lithuania Uladzimir Drazhin was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and received a note of protest regarding the Tuesday’s attack on the Lithuanian embassy in Minsk.
