BChD piquet forbidden in Navapolatsk

13:04, — Politics

An activist of the organization committee for creation of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy received a response from the city executive committee with a refusal to allow the piquet.

Navapolatsk BChD activists applied for the piquet on 26 November. The piquet was forbidden with a reference to the executive committee’s decision No*58, according to which rallies and piquets should only be held on one site of the city – at the entrance to the city park, bchd.info reports.

“We intentionally did not apply for a piquet on the site, defined by the executive committee. The aim of the piquet was to attract the public attention which is impossible to do at the park’s entrance. On week days it is difficult to see at least one person there”, - a BChD activist Siargei Malashonak noted.
