Dziadok transferred to the Mogilev closed-type prison

The political prisoner Mikalai Dziadok is now at the Mogilev closed-type prison.

Mikalai Dziadok’s father Aliaksandr informed Radio Svaboda about that.

“In the Department of Punishments and the prison itself they confirmed that my son is in the prison in Mogilev”, - Aliaksandr Dziadok said.

An activist of the anarchist movement Mikalai Dziadok was sentenced to four years in prison for participating in attacks on a number of buildings in Minsk. He did not acknowledge the guilt. On 4 December the Shklou district court at its assizes decided to send Mikalai Dziadok to a closed-type prison. Human rights activists in Belarus consider the conviction of Mikalai Dziadok politically motivated.

On 5 December the court of the Shklou district decided to send Mikalai Dziadok to a closed-type prison as a “malicious violator of the prison regime”.

The political prisoners Mikalai Statkevich, Dzmitry Dsashkevich, Mikalai Autukhovich and Yaugeni Vaskovich are also kept in closed-type prisons.
