Arche to be published outside Belarus?

The magazine has been denied re-registration on the decision of the Ministry of Information of December 12.

The magazine journalists asked the Ministry of Information in November to appoint Gaisak limited liability company founder and publisher of the magazine and re-register it, the press service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) reports.

The request was declined because the proposed editor-in-chief (acting editor-in-chief Ales Pashkevich) does not meet qualification requirements. He didn't work for five years on managerial positions in the appropriate field (the requirement of the addendum to the decision of the Ministry of Labour No. 120 of 31.08.2000).

“We applied for re-registration after the sad events that led to freezing the bank account of the magazine. Our work was paralysed. The Financial Investigation Department investigates the work of the old editorial staff. It's unknown how it will end. We decided to refresh the editorial staff hoping to restore normal functioning of the magazine,” Ales Pashkevich said. “Our hopes have not come true yet. We are not going to stop in any case. We do not rule out the opportunity of printing the magazine outside Belarus.”
