Russia billed Belarus for another $15 billion

Rosselkhoznadzor complains about unfair vegetative products control on the part of Belarus.

Negotiations between Rosselkhoznadzor and Ministry of Agriculture and Provisions about the situation with plants control at the border of the Customs Union will be held in Minsk on 6 December. According to the representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor, the institution sent to the Belarusian embassy in Moscow a complaint about undue control over vegetative products coming to Russia from third countries via Belarus and also the ones made directly in the country itself, Izvestiya reports.

Within the Customs Union, at the Russian control stations, there is only selective monitoring and its results caused worries with the Russian counterparts.

- It turns out that they almost do not carry out phytosanitary control in Belarus. Since the beginning of 2012 we have detected 9 thousand trucks, which had the seals, for example Latvian of Polish untouched. The vegetative products brought in those trucks got customs clearance without braking the seals, which means without the obligatory phytosanitary control, which is prescribed by the documents of the Customs Union, - an aide to the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Aleksei Alekseenko claimed.

Particular anxieties of Rosselkhoznadzor are caused by the seeding products, which come from Belarus. In case of the violation of phytosanitary control rules it is impossible to identify the pieces of land where it will be used and respectively to annihilate the primary hotbeds of pests.

In the worst case scenario the damage may amount up to 480 billion roubles a year, they assume in the control institution.
