The dictator came to Ashkhabad in Turkmenbashi’s plane

Aliaksandr Lukashenka arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.

He will take part in a session of the Council of the heads of the CIS states on 5 December. The dictator’s plane landed in the airport of Ashkhabad, BelaPAN reports.

It is curious that Lukashenka went to Turkmenistan on the very same Boing-767 hull No EW-001PB which Belarus has recently bought from Turkmenistan Airlines. This plane was formerly used by Turkmenbashi Saparmurat Niyazov. After Niyazov’s death the new leader of the Turkmens Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow decided not to use this plane.

After the plane had become Belarus’ property, it was sent to Hamburg for technical maintenance provided by Lufthansa Technik. German magazine Der Spiegel wrote that the Boing-767 was bought by the Belarusian part for not less than 124 million dollars. It has “wide white leather seats and couches, wood sheathing, golden curtains”, and precious stones and metals are used in the bathroom.
