Lubov Kovaleva does not leave attempts to return son’s belongings

Mother of executed Vladislav Kovalev again appealed to the chairman of KGB in order to return son’s prison notes.

She didn’t receive an answer to her last appeal, reports “Radio Svaboda”.

Lubov Kovaleva told that the chairman of KGB Vadim Zaitsev didn’t response to her preliminary application:

“Two months ago I appealed to the KGB chairman with complaint against staff members of KGB jail where they held my son. All notes that Vladislav was making about the case of explosion in Minsk metro on April 11, 2011 disappeared in that institution. After he was executed, I received his belongings, but the yellow folder, where he held those notes and which he was taking with him to the court meetings, returned empty. I demand that notes to be returned to me, but I didn’t get an answer so far”.

On June 19 Kovaleva received some mysterious phone call: an unknown woman, without telling her name or position, said that she is from KGB jail and that all belongings of Vladislav Kovalev were returned to the family.

Kovaleva does not consider this phone call as an answer. After all, it is unknown who and from where called her, and she is waiting for an official document about the fate of Vladislav records:

“You can’t see the officer’s certificate through telephone! And I can’t just believe to words of those who introduce themselves KGB officers. I remember how they were taking my food parcels for Vlad and were assuring me that they already gave them to him. And after his execution they returned me the parcels. They were unopened. They deceived me even in this! That is why I wrote another complaint – I need a detailed written response about where are his records. This is the last wish of my son: he wanted me to keep them. And I don’t want any speculations and frauds around them!”

Vladislav recordes are not in the list of evidences to be destroyed. Vladislav could not destroy them either. In one of his last letters he was asking his mother to keep them.

“I want to clarify that I will never stop on a half-way. I bring all the cases to the end. I’m not satisfied with empty replies, I want to receive an adequate answer”, - writes Lubov Kovaleva to the KGB chairman Vadim Zaitsev.
