Lithuanian foreign ministry: Sanctions against Lukashenka do not affect Lithuanian business

EU sanctions against Belarusian authorities will not incur loses to the Lithuanian business.

These are targeted measures, which are not directed against the entire Belarusian business or society, claims vice-foreign minister of Lithuania Evaldas Ignatavičius, reports delfi.lt.

The diplomat called “imposed theoretical reflections” the talks about billion losses and emphasized that he does not see any preconditions for economic war between the EU and Belarus.

“Restrictive measures are applied regard 32 Belarusian enterprises and 3 entrepreneurs who own them. The EU didn’t establish any large-scale economic sanctions regarding Belarus – the applied measures are not targeted against the entire Belarusian business or society”, - said the vice-minister in his interview to the Lietuvos žinioms newspaper, published on Monday.
