UCP activist faces pressure from KGB and taxation office

The sooner the “elections”, the more interest the KGB and the tax office show in relation to activists of the United Civil Party (UCP).

On August 16, UCP speaker Andrei Kazlou had a telephone call from a tax inspector, who asked on what means the activist lived and threatened to revoke his license of an individual entrepreneur. Andrei was invited to visit the tax office, which he refused to do explaining there were no legal reasons for the visit,” the UCP press service reports.

On August 17, leader of UCP Babruisk city branch Viktar Buzinayeu received a summons from the Babruisk KGB department. He is to appear in the KGB today at 2:00 p.m. for questioning in connection with article 9 and 11 of the Law on Crime Detection and Investigation Activity.
