At some polling stations nearly a half voters have voted early.
"Dazhinki" coincided with the "elections", so "students were told to vote and free the dormitories", - reports the "Euroradio".
For the first day of early voting at the polling station number 3 in Gorki 883 people participated in the elections - more than a half of the voters list. These are mainly the students. Here is what writes an observer of the campaign "Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections" Galina Budnaya:
"Yesterday, at the first day of voting, one can say that they just rushed there. I am an observer at this polling station. During the first half hour of the opening until 10:30 about 250 people have voted... The fact that this year "Dazhinki" have coincided with the elections, or vice versa. They will be held on 21-22 September. Lots of guests will come to Gorki. They need somewhere to settle. Therefore, students were told to vote and leave the dormitories."
At the moment of closing the polling station 883 people of 1600 have voted.
