Even a cleaning lady has access to the ballot box (Video)

An outrageous case of law violation filmed by an observer in Brest.

A cleaning lady opened the door to a polling station’s premises with her own key after the voting ended. Even police is not allowed to be present at the polling station after its closure, Euroradio reports.

“I came to the school 37. I needed the number of the ones having voted that day. I noted down the data from the polling station 47 of the Brest-Frontier constituency. There are two polling stations in the constituency, so I decided to get the similar data from the second one as well. The commission was late to post up the protocol. When I was noting the data it was 10 minutes to eight. The polling station 47 was already closed. I paid attention to a cleaning lady approaching the door, opening it with her own key and starting to clean the polling station. I filmed that”, - the Belarusian Helsinki Committee observer Aliaksei Koutun reports.

Appears that a complete outsider is able to enter the room with the early voting ballot box and do whatever one wants there.

In the meanwhile the constituency electoral commission claims that after a polling station was closed even police has no right to be present in the station’s premises. This was the ground to reject democratic activists’ appeal to watch early voting ballot boxes during the night time.
