No “elections”

An opinion poll on TUT.by website shows 78% of respondents will not vote.

The most visited Belarusian website, TUT.by, carries out an opinion poll to learn whether Belarusians are going to participate in the parliamentary elections. About 36.000 people had taken part in the poll by 8:50 p.m. on September 22.

77.86% of respondents say they don't see sense in voting.

12.78% of respondents are going to participate in the elections. 5.01%  voted early.

In spite of these figures, leader of Tell the Truth campaign Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu wrote in his article on Belorusskie Novosti website: “Elections will be valid. The regime will have voter turnout of about 70% even in bad and very bad political weather.”
