The concert at Kastrychnitskaia square has been canceled.
A concert and a dancing party were to be held at Kastrychnitskaia square in the evening of 23 September, after the “parliamentary elections”. However, the square is empty.
Before the “elections” day it was reported that educational establishments of Minsk were ordered to send groups of students to take part in the enternatnment event in front of the Palace of the Republic.
The same information came from employees of Minsk enterprises.
Lukashenka must have recalled the fate of Rumanian dictator Ceausescu. His overthrow began during an event in his honor.
As charter97.org has been informed, the police are patrolling the Kastrychnitskaia square district and police vehicles are parked in the backyards.
