Baris Khamajda was accused of "trying to put up a fight with the director of the shop".
Every day he distributes independent media right in front of the store number 82 of the trading network "Vesta", recalls "Radio Svaboda".
Baris Khamaida is convinced that he is being persecuted for a poster with a call to boycott the "elections". With this poster he went to the so-called "blue house" in Lenin Street on last Monday.
The opposition leader said that since then he has trouble with the police.
"I was detained on September 3, dragged to a court and given a fine of 400 000 for the poster "Say boycott to illegal “elections” to illegal "House of Representatives"!" On September 5, policemen came and told me to leave because I supposedly am disturbing the Russian filmmakers who do a film about Marc Chagall. How am I disturbing them, if they are working for half a kilometer, or even more from me? This morning, the police ordered me to leave without any explanation. When I refused, they probably told to the store manager of the shop, near which I stand, to “deal” with me. And it provoked a scandal", - he said.
According to Khamajda, the manager also told him to go away - say, at this place she needs to put a table and benches for street trading. After that activist moved a little to the side.
This didn’t satisfy her.
"She ran out of the store, grabbed the white-red-white ribbon, which I have hang here, wanted to break the coat of arms with “the chase” Of course, I grabbed her by the arm. She called the police, I was accused of hooliganism. By the way, the police report was written at the table, which was brought out of the store and deliberately put in front of me, across the sidewalk. There is no trade and never has been. All this - just attempts to create obstacles for me".
The table and the benches definitely were obstacles for passersby, but police officers were not confused. They said they would send Baris Khamaida a summons.
