Coordination meeting of Belarusians in Warsaw

An organising committee to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic and the 150th anniversary of Kastus Kalinouski Uprising, was formed on January 16, the Day of Belarusian Solidarity.
The committee consists of representatives of a wide range of Belarusian organisations in Poland : leader of Belarusian National Memory Anatoly Mikhnavets, co-directors of the Belarusian House in Warsaw Zmitser Barodka and Ales Zarembyuk, activist of Razam solidarity movement Kastus Lukashou, coordinator of European Belarus civil campaign Zmitser Bandarenka, head of the Association for Modernisation Ales Mikhalevich, musician Vinsent, charter97.org editor-in-chief Natallia Radzina, Belsat TV representatives Syarhei Pyalesa, Volha Shved and Mateusz Adamski, Euroradio editor Anastasia Illyina, activist of For Freedom movement Ihar Kulei, representative of the Information Bureau for Solidarity with Belarus Tatyana Nyatbayeva, representative of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party Hanna Kanyus and activist of the Union for Democracy in Belarus Ihar Koktysh.
The celebration events to mark the significant dates of the Belarusian history, the 95th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic and the 150th anniversary of Kastus Kalinouski Uprising, were discussed at the coordination meeting.
This is the first meeting in Warsaw that has gathered representatives of such a large number of Belarusian organisations.
