His mother Rushania Vaskovich reported about Yaugeni’s time in prison.
She visited her son in Mogilev’s prison on Tuesday. The meeting lasted for only two hours. Last time the parents saw Yaugeni Vaskovich a year ago, Radio Racyja reports.
According to Rushania Vaskovich, her son feels well, does not complain about his health, thanks everyone for new year’s congratulations and the letters of support.
“There was a meeting. At least we are able to see him once a year. Letter are letter and phone calls are phone calls, but it is better to see him, although behind the glass, better than on to speak on the phone. He said everything was well with him. Of course, there is not enough fresh air, they have only an hour a day for a walk. But he holds on. The most important is for it not to get worse”, - she said.
Yaugeni Vaskovich was sentenced together with Artsiom Prakapenka and Pavel Syramalotau. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison for an attempted arson of the doors of a KGB building in Babruisk. Pavel Syramalotau was released in September last year after having written a plea for pardon on Lukashenka’s name. Yaugeni Vaskovich and Artsiom Prakapenka refuse to write such a plea.
