Folk-party forbidden in Gomel because of “renovation”

The organizers were informed about the renovation works two days before the event.
On 26 January in the hall of one of the buildings of Gomel State Universtity a local historical organization Talaka was supposed to present the outcomes of its ethnographic travels. It was to be the first in Gomel’s history cartoon based on Gomel region’s history. Apart from the presentation, the visitors were about to see a concert of a band Vyraj, Euroradio reports.
But two days before the event, the organizers were suddenly informed that renovation works were supposed to start in the hall that is why the event was cancelled.
By the way, it is not the first alternative event, suddenly cancelled by an unplanned renovation.
