The human rights activists Anastasiya Loika, Valiantsin Stefanovich and Uladzimir Labkovich supported their colleagues from Grodno.
Today at 9.30 Grodno region’s court will start examining Viktar Sazonau, Uladzimir Khilmanovich and Raman Yurhel’s appeal about the decision of the court of Grodno Lenin’s district. Anastasiya Loika, Valiantsin Stefanovich and Uladzimir Labkovich made a photo with their portraits, the human right group Viasna reports.
We would remind that the Grodno residents were fined for 1.5 million roubles each. They were accused of holding a non-authorized picketing on 10 December 2012. The reason for the court trial was a picture posted on the internet, in which they show solidarity with the political prisoner Ales Bialiatski. In order to support the Grodno human rights activists, their action was repeated by human rights activists in Gomel, Navapolatsk, Salihorsk and also by their Ukrainian colleagues –they all made pictures with Ales Bialiatski’s portrait.
