New Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister appointed

Lukashenka appointed Anatoly Cherny Architecture and Construction Minister on 15 October.

The newly appointed minister said he would like the Belarusian civil engineering industry to get closer to European standards.

The Minister stressed that the Architecture and Construction Ministry had been tasked with getting rid of all the non-transparent schemes in the civil engineering industry. The Ministry will collaborate with the working group on civil engineering industry problems to resolve the problems that now exist, in particular, overdue home construction. “It is necessary to finish the construction as soon as possible, give homes to people and thus honor the state commitments before building owners,” said Anatoly Cherny.
