Dinamo Mn lose to Moscow namesakes

Dinamo Minsk lost 0-4 to Dynamo Moscow, Gagarin Cup winners for the last two seasons, on 23 October to wrap up their four-game road trip, picking up just one point.

The teams could not create any goal-promising moments for almost two thirds of the game. The score was opened unexpectedly by the hosts will one second left to play in the middle stanza. Konstantin Gorovikov was just in time to take Oleg Mosalev’s pass from behind the net to chip it home, breaking the scoreless tie.

The Belarusian club allowed the second a little more than a minute after the start of the third period. The home side added two more later in the third to whitewash the opponent 4-0.

In the four-game trip Minskers picked up the only point in the 1-2 shootout loss against Vityaz Chekhov on 17 October. The Belarusian club then lost 1-5 to Ak Bars, 0-3 to Torpedo, and 0-4 to Dynamo Moscow.

With 18 points after 19 games in the 2013-14 KHL regular season Dinamo Minsk remains the last (14th) at the Western Conference, 11 points from the playoff zone.

Dinamo Minsk host Amur Khabarovsk at Minsk Arena on 25 October.
