Mirnyi/Tecau progress to BNP Paribas Masters quarterfinal

Belarus’ Max Mirnyi and Romania’s Horia Tecau have advanced to the quarterfinal of the BNP Paribas Masters which prize pot is $2.6 million.
On 31 October in the second round they celebrated a 6:7 (3:7), 7:5, 10:8 victory against the Spanish duo David Marrero / Fernando Verdasco, seeded sixth.
In round 1 they outplayed Lukasz Kubot (Poland) / Robert Lindstedt (Sweden) 7:6 (7:3), 7:6 (7:5).
Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau are set to meet another Spanish duo Marcel Granollers / Marc Lopez (3) in the quarterfinal.
In 2011 Max Mirnyi paired with Daniel Nestor of Canada won the ATP World Tour Finals in London after a 7:5, 6:3 success against Mariusz Fyrstenberg / Marcin Matkowski in the final. This season Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau have won three ATP titles.
