Arseniy Yatseniuk: If they demolish tents we will put up new ones

10 thousand Berkut special troops will not solve the problems of the 45-million nation.

One of the opposition leaders Arseniy Yatseniuk claimed that the protesters will put up new tents and cordons, if the authorities demolish them. This is how he commented on Monday’s events, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

“The decision taken is the following: if they demolish these tents, we will put up new ones. If they build a line (of people), we will put another, - he claimed. If president Yanukovich thinks that he will solve the country’s political and economic crisis by the means of interior troops, he is deeply mistaken, because 10 thousand Berkut troops cannot solve the problems of the 45-million nation”.

One of the leaders of the Fatherland party is convinced that the authorities will not be able to stop the protests by the means of force.

“If Yanukovich thinks that he will manage to frighten us by searches and arrests – he will not either”, - Yatseniuk said.

We would remind that the authorities attacked peaceful protesters in Kiev today.

Berkut and interior troops, who had been previously gathered in the capital’s center, circled the protesters and started narrowing the circle. The protesters are being pushed out of the government district. Law enforcers smashed the office of the Fatherland party and editorial offices of a number of independent media.

On the day before the protesters erected barricades in the whole government district after the March of Millions ended. The opposition claims that they will not stop sieging administrative buildings before the authorities make concessions. The protesters put up tents and erected barricades in Grushevskogo, Shovkovychna, Luteranska and Institutska streets.
