About ten people gathered on the evening of December 17 to defend Maksim Bahdanovich Literary Museum in Minsk.
Andrei Khadanovich, the head of the Belarusian PEN Centre, poet and translator, and singer and songwriter Andrei Melnikou sang songs based on Bahdanovich's poems, BelaPAN news agency reports.
The impromptu concert lasted for 40 minutes. Police officers filmed the participants, but didn't interfere and detain people.
Protest actions against turning the museum of the Belarusian poet into a branch of the Literary Museum began on December 16.
