Belarusians of New Jersey mark Day of Heroes (Video)

Belarusians of the USA paid tribute to the memory of participants of the Slutsk Uprising.

Charter97.org learnt it from a reader.

Activists of the Belarusian diaspora in the US visited the Belarusian cemetery in East Brunswick, New Jersey, to pay tribute to the memory of heroes of the Slutsk Uprising.

A liturgy and a memorial service were held in the Church of the Zhyrovichy Icon of the Mother of God. The participants of the memorial service watched a documentary about the Slutsk Uprising, visited the monument to the fallen heroes and laid flowers to the grave of uprising participant Fiodar Daniliuk.

Clashes between the Slutsk regiments of the Belarusian People's Republic and the Red Army started on November 27, 1920. Belarusian patriots mark this day at the Day of Heroes.
