Volha Haidukova: KGB finally returned son’s computer equipment

The family of the “spy” Andrei Haidukou was given back all the computer equipment, confiscated right after the arrest of the youth activist from Navapolatsk.

Andrei Haidukou’s mother told that to Salidarnasc.

- On the eve of St Valentine’s Day KGB gave us a sudden gift – returned all the computer equipment and telephones, - Volha Haidukova is joking. – On 13 February I went to Vitebsk – to KGB – and took everything back. My husband checked his computer and said that it works well. We did not check Andrei’s equipment, but hope that everything is okay as well. It would be a shame is all the copmuters stopped working, because we bought them literally on the eve of son’s arrest.

According to the woman, the lawyer managed to see her client in normal conditions.

- One may say a huge happiness came, - the interlocutor is being ironic. – On Monday the lawyer was unexpectedly let to see Andrei at 10 a.m. and they finished the talk already after lunch. They managed to discuss many issues in calm conditions. My son looks well, takes care for himself. KGB people made a present for me having extended him being in custody until 8 March, but I can see the help of our media, which do not lose attention to this case, in that the lawyer was allowed to have a normal meeting with Andrei.

23-year old machine operator of the Navapolatsk enterprise Naftan, deputy chairman of the non-registered Union of Young Intellectuals Andrei Haidukou was detained by KGB agents on 8 November when he was allegedly putting information for foreign special service in a hiding place. According to the article 356 of the Criminal Code (state treason by the means of agent’s activities) he faces from 7 to 15 years in prison.
