Viktar Ivashkevich: Lukashenka wants to rob people again

The fact that the Belarusian ruler already said the same words ahead of the 2011 devaluation means that he lies.

Viktar Ivashkevich, one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition, talked to charter97.org about Lukashenka's remark on absence of reasons for devaluation.

“Only few people know about the real state of the Belarusian economy. This information is kept in secret. The authorities don't give people true facts. Bearing in mind that Lukashenka said the same before the devaluation in 2011, it can be concluded that we should not believe him,” the politician noted.

He stressed that absence of economic reforms and progress in this period point at inevitable devaluation in the nearest time.

“People go shopping every day and see how quickly prices go up. The inflation rate grows rapidly. We will face devaluation, but we can only guess in which month. By talking about stability and successes in economy, Lukashenka deliberately deceives the people of Belarus to rob them again,” Viktar Ivashkevich is confident.

It should be reminded that the Belarusian dictator said today there were no reasons for devaluation.
