Political prisoner Dzydok receives parcel with medicines

The parents of political prisoner Mikalai Dzyadok sent him a parcel with medicines for stomach.

“His disease was found in prison. It was caused by numerous stresses and bad food,” Alyaksandr Dzyadok, the father of political prisoner Mikalai Dzyadok, thinks.

He said to charter97.org:

“We sent Mikalai a parcel with vitamins and medicines. He was lucky to receive it. He was allowed to talk to his wife on the phone, but we don't know the schedule of calls,” the political prisoner's father said.

He noted his son's disease was caused by nervous strain and bad food.

“The disease appeared in prison. It was provoked by long stresses and psychological pressure from the secret services and the prison authorities as well as by the trial. You should also take into account bad food in the pretrial jail, penal colony and prison. These factors have led to health problems,” Alyaksandr Dzyadok said.

Mikalai Dzyadok, Ihar Alinevich and Alyaksandr Frantskevich were convicted by Minsk's Zavadski district court on May 27, 2011. They were charged with carrying out arson attacks on buildings, holding an unsanctioned anti-military procession near the Ministry of Defence in 2009, throwing Molotov cocktails at the embassy of Russia in Minsk and the detention centre in Akrestin Street in 2010. Mikalai Dzyadok was sentenced to 4.5 years in a medium security penal colony. He was transferred to prison No. 4 in Mahilou in December 2012.
