Former employees file 105 claims against Russian investor

Former workers of Petkavichy agricultural firm filed 105 claims to a court to recover wage arrears.

The agricultural farm is located in the Baranavichy dstrict in the Brest region, Narodnaya Tribuna writes.

The local authorities accuse Russian businessman Oleg Lavrushin, who runs the firm, of failure to pay off debts to nonexisting firms, meet milk production requirements and make required investments.

Petkavichy is the only former collective farm, which was bought several years ago by a foreigner, a Russian businessman.

To pay the arrears, the property of the firm was seized and given to an organisation responsible for holding auctions. There are some people willing to buy the property.
