Mass dismissals in Almi store chain?

Employees of Almi store chain report about low wages and dismissals.

Charter97.org received this information from the website's reader.

“When I started to work here, they promised a low salary, but big bonuses – up to 100% of the salary. I bit it. I have been working here for six months. They don't pay bonuses. My salary is slightly more than 2 million rubles. Many people quit. They make cooks wash up. We have no kitchen assistants to wash dishes. Who would agree to work with such salaries? Managers say: work or quit if you don't like it,” the letter reads.

Charter97.org contacted the personnel department of Almi store chain. A representative of the department said after a long consultation that they cannot reveal the number of the employees who recently dismissed.

Almi store chain is owned by Russian businessman with Belarusian roots Alexander Zaribko. The company has 8 stores in Minsk. Two more stores are being constructed. Almi has supermarkets in 14 cities across Belarus.

It should be reminded that employees of MAZ, Horizont plant and other Belarusian enterprises have reported about mass dismissals or short working weeks in the last few months.
