Vital Rymasheuski: This is a vague initiative

The loud statements about a single candidate will end in nothing, a politician thinks.
Vital Rymasheuski, a co-chairman of the organising committee to found the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD), spoke to charter97.org about the Popular Referendum campaign.
“The Belarusian opposition has begun to organise many initiatives and make loud statements, but it does a little in practice. This initiative looks rather vague for me. I don't see particular actions by the people, who held the press conference,” the politician thinks.
He stressed some opposition politicians already made several attempts to follow the official way, but it always ended in nothing.
“The aim of the referendum looks unclear too. Belarusian society has many problems: someone is concerned about absence of democracy in Belarus, someone has absolutely different concerns. It's unclear who will be the campaign's target group. We will be able to say in a few months whether it will remain just another loud statement or it will result in real work with people. It is not the first such statement of this particular group of opposition organisations. No actions followed the statement about a single candidate,” Vital Rymasheuski siad.
Three opposition organisations agreed on long-term cooperation on May 20.
The Movement for Freedom, the BPF party and Tell the Truth announced the campaign titled Popular Referendum.
