Arciom Prakapenka was allowed short-term meeting

Political prisoner Prakapenka, who is serving the punishment term in the penal colony number 5 in Mahilou got permission for a short-term meeting with relatives.

His father Anatol Prakapenka informed the charter97.org web-site about that.

“We are going for a meeting at the beginning of June. This will be a short meeting only for a day. It is only that we do not know whether they will allow to bring food and clothes for him, since he has been deprived of the right to receive parcels”, - the father of the political prisoner noted.

He added that son had health problems, but they were insignificant.

“Arciom makes phone calls, says that everything is fine, he does sports and holds on well. I will be able to tell more in detail after the meeting, for now it is all as it was”, - Anatol Prakapenka said.

In March Arciom Prakapenka spent five days in a penal cell for an alleged violation of the regime rules, where he refused from eating. Pressure was put on the political prisoner in order for him to sign a plea for pardon, but he refused.

Arciom Prakapenka was convicted together with Jauhen Vaskovich and Pavel Syramalotau for seven year in prison for an alleged attempt to set on fire the door of a KGB office in Babrujsk. On 27 September Pavel Syramalotau was released after having written a plea for pardon to Lukashenka.
