BRSM wants to earn in Europe

The pro-governmental youth organisation wants to send its activists to the EU, where salaries are significantly higher than in Belarus.

Ihar Buzouski, the first secretary of the BRSM, spoke to Belorusskaya Niva newspaper about his plans.

“Traditionally, we help students find jobs in Russia. This year, we continue to cooperate with student brigades of Russian public organisations. The standing committee of the “union state” helps us. But we don't have serious agreements with other countries due to visa and quota restrictions in the EU. It would be interesting for our students to see Europe and work on strawberry farms in Poland, but we also have things to see and learn in Russia and the neighbouring countries,” he said.

It should be reminded that the Minsk authorities demanded that the BRSM should send students to construction works in the capital due to the lack of construction workers. Students were expected to help with the construction of the museum of the history of the Great Patriotic War, Chyzhouka Arena and the Student Village. But it seems that activists of the pro-governmental organisation like salaries in the EU countries more than money they can earn in Belarus.
