Laughter through tears

Laughter through tears

There is a suggestion to use laughter at the authorities as the most efficient means of opposing the current authorities.

The thing is quite controversial, but a whole collection of malapropisms is offered in support of this idea, which it makes sense to call something lie the American Bush’s sayings, but only with the consideration of the Belarusian reality.

It does not makes sense to type the name, which many just now said, and it is not only for the reason that in our humorous country one may get into the places, where they would not laugh. It is just that it has long stopped amusing smart people what the main country’s mouth articulates. These are not the times. Now another feeling prevails – bitterness. If, of course, there is still scarce gray matter left in the brains, which is doubtful after some tests have been run. Even in a nightmare it is hard to imagine that someone may lead to that with their rule – almost 40% of the young people do not know elementary things! And you advice to laugh at such things?.. Even if there is anything to laugh at, then it is the nonsense about “the world’s best education”…

But how well it all started… Whole Belarus laughed at the last page of the Name newspaper, and the Free News weekly held contests for joke about Kebich, Lukashenka and Pazniak. Now it is hard even to imagine anything like that – there no suicide volunteers even in Red Books.

Even if it is safe to laugh at someone now, then those are the Europeans, who found some “liberalization” in Belarus. It seems like they have hard times not only with the body parts, mentioned by Lukashenka, but only with the vision. Only the person who really wants it cannot notice an insidious rake.

Me personally, I laugh very sadly at those, who gladly support their conclusions with the potential amnesty for Dzima Dashkievich. I am sincerely glad about the pre-term release, but, in my opinion, one should not forget that another year was previously added to his term.

Unfortunately, as for now I cannot give any other examples of the “Tsar’s mercy”, but I will definitely do that if there is a respective occasion. For now the question is quite legitimate: is this what you lifted sanctions from Makej?..

May be something will change by November, when the Eastern Partnership summit takes place in Vilnius, but this will only come in many months. Was it reasonable to rush into the suspension of the sanctions? Wouldn’t it be smarter and more logical to show the goodwill as a reciprocating step?

And something else. Did not the one, who saw a “thaw” in Belarus, see the third criminal case against Vasil Parfiankou or one and a half years in prison for the unaccomplished “spy” Andrej Hajdukou?

Most likely, another “liberalization” will follow the painfully familiar scheme. Yet another time the authorities will take money from the Europeans for saving themselves, and the property in the end will be given to those, whom it used to give it before, since the latter ones pay much more much much more often.

It would be very funny, if people did not clap their hands but simply smiled during the 2011 protest actions. The reaction of the odious colonel Euseeu, who has recently become a general, would have been especially interesting. I would very much like to see how he orders his “hell-hounds” to grab all those, who smile. And also to find out for what smiling people will be put on trial by “the most humane and just”…
