Worker faced revenge for scandalous “series” about MAZ

A worker who shot a film about the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) has been dismissed.

Ruslan Mirzoeu gave an interview to charter97.org.

“I has been sacked. I won't work at MAZ from August 1. My supervisor proposed me to dismiss voluntary. Otherwise I would face strict measures to make me dismiss. But am I happy,” the worker says.

He says he has plans for the future.

“I was invited to be a host of a show devoted to mixed martial arts in Moscow. I will go to Moscow this weekend for a screen test. If I am lucky, I will work in show business. If not, I have been offered a job in a private firm that produces plastic window frames,” Ruslan says.

He adds that he is a musician, but he doesn't earn much money on music.

“How is it possible to earn your living on music in Belarus? It is possible, but you must put enormous efforts and became famous outside Belarus to get financial profit. You can take part in the Slavonik Bazaar Festival, but it's not my music genre,” the author of the scandalous video says with irony.

The man confirms that he is a professional boxer.

“You can earn your bread in sports, but it is a hard work. You must give up everything and fully devote yourself to sports. But there are no guarantees you will be lucky. I used to work hard to achieve results in sports, but I am not so enthusiastic now. If I were, I would give up everything and have trainings three times a day to achieve something,” the worker says.

He doesn't rule out the possibility of trying himself in journalism.

“I could do something in journalism, but it is a sphere that supposes much lies and defamation, though it depends on the angle of view. I will be happy to consider interesting proposals if they don't touch politics. I am ready to do something humorous and funny,” Ruslan Mirzoeu says.

Worker of the Minsk Automobile Plant Ruslan Mirzoeu shot a series of scandalous films about ordinary days at the plant. He posted the videos on the internet. The worker was threatened with a criminal case and ordered to delete the videos.
