Senior police officer: Organise protests, but be strong

Police officers don't like the economic and social situation in the country.

This opinion was expressed by leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka, who was detained near his home yesterday, ucpb.org reports.

“Policemen and riot police officers show clear signs of discontent with the economic and social situation. It's indicative that they themselves raise these themes and asked questions when talking to me,” Anatol Liabedzka said.

The politician said Timur Kisel, the police station head, said: “Organise protests, but be strong.”

Anatol Liabedzka was detained yesterday morning. The politician was punched in the kidney several times. He was set free only at 18:00. Policemen took him outside Minsk to Kurapaty memorial area and then to the city crematory. Anatol Liabedzka was allowed to go in the city district Viasnianka near his home.
