Yauhen Vaskovich: I would be at Maidan rally if I were not in prison

Political prisoner Yauhen Vaskovich expressed his support to protesters in Ukraine.

He writes in a letter he would be at the Euromaidan rally if he were not in prison, says Dzianis Sadouski, the executive secretary of the organising committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party.

Yauhen Vaskovich spent 247 days in solitary confinement since October 2011. He received his latest 10 days in solitary confinement on December 27, 2013, and marked the New Year there. He received most sanctions for “failure to obey orders of prison officers”. Yauheny Vaskovich spends an average of 15-20 days a month in solitary confinement.
