Emergency doctors demand salaries to be doubled

The physicians addressed the authorities with an open latter.

The appeal of Minsk emergency doctors is published on the change.org web-site. It has collected almost 2 thousand signatures already.

The petition contains the demand of adoption of the law “On emergency medicine”. The document’s authors insist that it foresaw the provision of the security of physicians, working accident insurance covering full-fledged treatment and rehabilitation, as well as social guarantees.

Emergency doctors also require that the ban was introduced on working alone in a medical brigade, since it does not allow to provide full-fledged medical care to the patient and increases the risk of an aggression against the doctor.

The document also contains the demand to increase the salary at least by two times.

“We did not forget that such notions exist as consciousness, duty, professionalism. Why should we work for such a humiliating salary and on such conditions?” – the petition’s authors wonder.

The physicians deem it necessary to introduce changes into traffic rules.

“It is necessary to either establish the unconditional priority for ambulance cars with flashers turned on and to toughen the punishment measures for those, who impedes passing of ambulances with flashers on; or to deprive ambulance cars of priority on the road”, - they report.

The petition is addressed to Lukashenka and the Health Care Minister Vasil Zharko.
