Ukraine to ban broadcasts of Belarusian TV

Ukraine does not want to broadcast Lukashenka's propaganda.

The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine took a decision today to ban the broadcasts of Russian TV channel 365 Days and Belarus 24. Interfax learnt it from the council head Yuriy Artemenko.

According to him, the decision was taken due to the fact that the channels distribute information materials that violate certain clauses of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television.

The council head also said that the council planned to apply to a court seeking a ban on broadcasting the above mentioned channels in Ukraine.
