Wages cut at Lakokraska plant in Lida

Workers were made to take unpaid leave.

Charter97.org learnt it from the website's reader Aliaksandr.

“Acting general director Anatoli Tarnavetski told us that the talks about four-day working week were just rumours. But he lied. As it turned out later, the ministry of chemical industry issued an order to cut wages to 2.5 million rubles until the end of the year. Workers were ordered to take unpaid leave,” he writes.

Charter97.org earlier learnt from another reader that the plant would begin to work four days a week soon. A representative of the plant didn't confirm this information, but said that important decisions would be made during a visit of a delegation from Belneftekhim concern.
